You will become part of an active study environment in which you participate in ensemble playing and cross-disciplinary projects at the Academy and elsewhere in addition to main subject tuition and other elementary subjects.

Study environment
Through ensemble playing and various projects, you will gain lots of inspiration from fellow students, teachers, and guest teachers.
The RAMA Big Band is a central feature for wind instrument students. The band explores various genres and forms of expression and gains inspiration from visiting musicians from all over the world. In recent years, respected musicians such as Palle Mikkelborg, Pierre Bertrand, and Jørgen Munkeby have collaborated with the big band.
As of the fall of 2024, the internationally recognized composer, arranger, pianist, and orchestra leader Kathrine Windfeld is affiliated with RAMA’s Big Band. Kathrine now shares the leadership of the big band with Prof. Jens Christian “Chappe” Jensen, and she also contributes to teaching composition, arrangement, and big band leadership.
