Brandt Attema

Brandt Attema joined RAMA as Honorary Professor in November 2018.

Brandt Attema has been professor of the deep bass trombone at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague since September 2007.

In September 1999, Attema won the international bass-trombone competition in Guebwiller, France, and since then he has been a soloist and teacher at many festivals around the world.

Furthermore, since 1999 he has been a member of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and of the New Trombone Collective. He has also played with several of the world’s best orchestras, such as the Rotterdam Philharmonic.
