Artistic Experience:
Jesper Bodilsen tours both with his own groups and as a sideman.
He performs in clubs, concert halls, and festivals worldwide and has played multiple times at Birdland in New York and the Berlin Philharmonie.
He has performed and collaborated with some of the world’s greatest jazz artists, including Gregory Porter, Joe Lovano, Gino Vanelli, Brad Mehldau, Bill Frisell, Phil Woods, Lionel Loueke, James Moody, Dino Saluzzi, Enrico Rava, Ed Thigpen, Paolo Fresu, Jimmy Heath, Duke Jordan, Palle Mikkelborg, Joey Calderazzo, Seamus Blake, and Marc Turner.
He has contributed to more than 100 recordings, including several released on ECM and Universal Records. In 2021, he founded the record label Mingus Records.
