Debut Concert & EP Release

With this concert saxophonist and composer Mark Hurrell makes his debut from the soloist class at RAMA.

The concert celebrates the completion of Hurrells soloist studies at the Academy with a special double concert. The evening brings together the two projects that have defined his years in Aarhus.

The first set features Motuz Group – his interdisciplinary performing arts collective that merges jazz, improvisation, and dance into immersive performances. The group reimagines familiar songs through pioneering performance techniques, blurring the lines between abstract and accessible.

The second set marks the release of Hurrell’s debut EP with his jazz quartet, joined by special guests. They will perform music from the EP as well as new, unreleased compositions – a personal snapshot of the work Hurrell has created during his final years of study.

This evening is both a celebration and a new beginning – intertwining the two main threads of his artistic journey into one event.

The concert is free, and you can just show up without a ticket. Please come early.
