Spatial Audio – concert with Mariam Gviniashvili

Mariam Gviniashvili is a composer from Georgia working at the intersection of electronic music, 3D sound, and multimedia performance. Her work explores the physical and emotional dimensions of sound and space, often integrating visuals and live performance within immersive formats.

The concert is arranged by ALF, Aarhus Lydforening, in collaboration with RAMA, and in combination with a 3-day workshop with Mariam Gviniashvili for academy students and others with special interest. The workshop offers an introduction to spatial audio, combining theoretical insights with hands-on practice and exploring spatial listening and sound perception.

Mariam Gviniashvili
Gviniashvili has received commissions from institutions such as INA GRM, the Center for Art and Media | ZKM, and the Hong Kong Visualisation Research Centre. Her work has been presented at festivals, venues, and radio broadcasts worldwide, including Ars Electronica, EMPAC, the New York Electroacoustic Music Festival, Virginia Tech, BEAST FEaST, Transitions at CCRMA, MA/IN, ICMC, Mixtur Festival, Klingt Gut, Heroines of Sound, Ultima Festival, and BBC Radio.
