Development project in collaboration with the Jazz Center

Jazz guitarist and associate professor at RAMA’s department in Aalborg Jens Christian Kwella has arranged a series of concerts in collaboration with the Center for Danish Jazz History. The concert series is part of an artistic development project for associate professor Jens Christian Kwella. In addition to their teaching, lectures at the music conservatories can conduct research and artistic development, which, unlike artistic practice, must be accompanied by reflection and have high news value.

At the concerts, a number of Danish and foreign professional guitarists from different jazz/pop genres play together with guitar students from the Academy. Through this collaboration, students gain their knowledge of different instrument techniques and different artistic expressions.

The first three concerts will be held at the Center for Danish Jazz History, Kjellerups Torv 2 in Aalborg, at 7.30 pm, September 2nd, October 7th and November 4th. There is a modest entrance fee of DKK 50 (free for members of the jazz center).
