Change of principal

From 1 June, vice principal Keld Hosbond is acting principal of the Academy for a period of 12 months. The constitution takes place after former principal Claus Olesen resigned from his position at the end of May to become head of Mariagerfjord Kulturskole.

Keld Hosbond has graduated from the Academy as a rhythmic music teacher with trombone as the main instrument and from Political Science in Aarhus. He was international coordinator at the Academy for a number of years, until in 2016 he was appointed vice principal.

Keld has taught music and social studies in high school, and at the Academy he has taught subjects such as pedagogy, labor market knowledge and entrepreneurship. He has especially worked with the international field, where he has been the initiator and key person on a number of projects, including the establishment of the worldwide conservatory network Glomus, building capacity development in i.a. Mali, Afghanistan and Palestine, establishment of joint study programs with Scandinavian conservatories a.o.

Claus Olesen has a long history with the Academy. He is a former student, he is a former teacher, and from 2008 he was head of studies for the Academy’s classical department until he took over as principal in 2015.
