Capacity Building Projects

For a number of years RAMA has been engaged in a major capacity building project in Mali.

The aim is to work together with the local Academy in Bamako to strengthen the young music academy and to give access to international collaborations and inclusion.

The program have meant regular visits to and from Mali.

The program is supported by CKU (Danish Centre for Culture and Development) and the Danish Embassy in Mali.

The large scale cooperation with Mali also includes collaboration with Danish SPOT festival with the focus of creating a platform (“SPOT on MALI Music”) for talent development of young promising Mali musicians. The most visible result is an annual showcase festival in Bamako and a corresponding webpage and interactive Facebook group www.spotonmalimusic.org and www.facebook.com/spotonmalimusic

Earlier RAMA had a similar projekt in Afghanistan.
