Royal Run – full of music

When Crown Prince Frederik on 10 June comes to Aarhus to participate in Royal Run together with 16,000 registered Aarhusians, students from RAMA will deliver a great part of the music. The Crown Prince is the protector of the Academy and has explicitly wanted to make his protectorships visible in connection with Royal Run. Therefore, the Academy presents both brass band, DJ and big band.

Already on arrival with the royal ship, the Crown Prince is received on the quay by the Academy’s brass band, which also plays on Clemens Bro during the run. At the start field at Bispetorv, one of the Academy’s electronic students stands with his DJ equipment and improvises freely over the Crown Prince’s play list. And at Rådhuspladsen, Where’s My Bag Big Band (with current and newly educated students) plays newly composed, modern jazz.

With this three music spots, both the Crown Prince, the run participants and the audience will experience a part of the musical richness that characterizes the Academy. The music does not just play when the Crown Prince passes, there will be live music with the students over a longer time.
