RAMA hosts Nordic conference

From today, Wednesday, RAMA in Aalborg hosts NERD, Nordic Elaboration of Rhythmical Didactics – a three-day conference on jazz/pop guitar pedagogy. Here, guitar teachers from the Nordic region meet for presentations, knowledge sharing, debates, networking, jam sessions and more.

The program includes: proposals to improvise without focusing on scales; about the difference between accompanying a singer or an instrumentalist; best practices for introducing beginners to blues/rock improvisation – and much more.

The conference brings together and presents different pedagogical experiences with jazz/pop guitar pedagogy from across the Nordic and Baltic regions. The conference, which has also previously been held at RAMA in Aalborg, is chaired by Associate Professor Marin Granum, RAMA.
