RAMA at Aarhus Festuge
Lots of concerts on Festugen
True to tradition, RAMA contributes a series of free concerts to Aarhus Festuge 2024, where the festival guests can experience young, talented and energetic musicians fully unfold.
Rytmisk Sal in Musikhuset Aarhus is going to swing so hard when the Aarhus based but African-inspired band Akabanga meets a real South African band, supported by the brass section from the Academy’s big band. There will also be a series of outdoor concerts with quite different music in Mølleparken, in Byparken and at Salling Rooftop.
The various bands and soloists for the outdoor concerts have been selected following an Open Call to all students. In this way, the students are trained to present their projects in the best possible way to a concert organizer.
Finally, musicians from the Århus Sinfonietta shall perform six newly composed pieces written for specific locations at Institut for (X) at Godsbanen, composed by Academy students. Two of them have also developed the concept and idea behind this project, where the audience meets the music while wandering around the area.
