What does a FOKU project sound like?

FOKU stands for (in Danish): Research and artistic / pedagogical development. Now there is an opportunity to experience how such a project can sound, live at a concert on 16 May 2022, and on a new vinyl and CD, which will be released the same day.

Professor Jens Christian “Chappe” Jensen for years has been working on the artistic development project “The Electroacoustic Experience”, which experiments with new strategies for composition, improvisation and instrumentation for large jazz orchestras in the context of advanced electronic sound processing.

The goal is to develop new electroacoustic concert forms, where the large jazz orchestra is brought together with the electronic composer and performer in an equal meeting. The work process takes place through interdisciplinary collaborations with established artists, peers and students.
