Co-writing and Co-creation

The “Co-writing and Co-creation” development project seeks to formalize, document, and enhance the work that Kasper Staub and the other instructors in the songwriting program at DJM engage in on a daily basis, as well as Kasper’s own artistic practice, in which collaboration and co-creation play an increasingly significant role.

The PUV project is thus intended to contribute to the sharing and documentation of teaching in the creative disciplines, which (with the exception of classical composition) are still relatively new fields of study with limited research and teaching materials.

Finally, the project’s observations and findings will be summarized in a catalog of ideas, which, in addition to presenting the work, will also result in a series of proposals for concrete approaches and methods for teaching co-creation across genres and levels. The relevance of the catalog of ideas lies in the lack of accessible and usable teaching materials for instruction in co-writing and musical co-creation
