Three-year agreement with one of the world’s best chamber ensembles
The Academy has just implemented a three-year agreement with the Danish String Quartet, one of the world’s leading chamber music ensembles.
The quartet is one of the most sought-after Danish ensembles in the international chamber music world; they regularly perform in concert halls all over the world and are frequently on tour in both Europe and the USA.
The Academy was previously visited by the quartet. With their latest visit on 1.-2. December, the new three-year agreement begins, which means that the quartet twice a year teaches chamber music at the Academy for a few days. They teach as an ensemble, based on their own extensive experience of playing chamber music together at the highest level and over many years.
“The agreement with the Danish String Quartet is a fantastic chance for the Academy’s young students to absorb experience and inspiration from the top of the world of chamber music”, says cello professor Henrik Brendstrup. The agreement were realized through Brendstrup’s relationship with the quartet.
