Nordic conference on digital teaching
RAMA is co-organizer of a Nordic conference on 1-2 December on digitally based teaching within the higher music educations. At the conference New Time Music 2.0, which takes place online, several speakers will share experiences, challenges, best practice, etc. with conference participants. There will be a focus on both technical and didactic perspectives, just as the topics are viewed from both teacher and student angles.
Among the speakers are, for example, the founder of scoremusic.com, a platform for storing and sharing sheet music; there is a presentation of how to hold joint concerts across continents; and RAMA’s professor of Innovative Choir Leading, Jim Daus Hjernøe, will talk about the experiences from RAMA Vocal Center, where 60 teachers and students meet digitally every week for joint teaching.
The conference is supported by Nord Plus funds from the Nordic Council of Ministers and will increase, develop and improve transnational learning and job opportunities through digital tools, so that the music professionals will be better equipped for the digital future.
The conference is organized by four music academies from Norway, Finland, and Estonia, in addition to RAMA from Denmark. The conference is open to anyone interested, but registration is required. More info on the website: https://newtimemusic.eu/
