Percussion Perspectives Festival
Percussion Perspectives is a podcast about percussion and the many opportunities available to young percussionists to explore new and exciting directions. At the festival on 18–19 April in the Chamber Music Hall at Musikhuset in Aarhus, percussion students from the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, in collaboration with Associate Professor Henrik Knarborg and the American percussionist Andy Bliss, will present a programme of four concerts showcasing possible paths to explore – electronic, solo, performance and ensemble.
Andy Bliss
Andy Bliss is one of the leading American percussionists of our time – a virtuoso musician, an innovative conductor and a visionary composer. Bliss pushes the boundaries of percussion, has performed on a number of the world’s major stages and has taught at the renowned new music courses in Darmstadt, among other things.
The concert is free, and you can just show up without a ticket. Please come early.
