Piano Matinée

At this concert, you can hear the two Gradus students, Sophus Elmark, 18, and Emil Dalgaard, 17, both of whom are among the selected candidates for the prestigious Aarhus International Piano Competition, which takes place at Musikhuset Aarhus March 8-15. They represent Denmark in a strong field of the world’s elite young pianists. Read more about the piano competition here.

At the concert on Sunday, Sophus and Emil will perform pieces from their competition program. This includes major works by Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann, Scriabin, Prokofiev, and Carl Nielsen.

The concert will also feature the 12-year-old prodigy Alexander Tiemroth and 17-year-old Emil Nabe-Nielsen, who will play Mozart’s magnificent Fantasy in C minor.

Gradus Junior College is a talent development collaboration between the Gradus Piano School and RAMA.
