About the performers
Marie Tofte-Hansen (violin)
Marie Tofte-Hansen is a 20-year-old violinist from Denmark. She grew up in Odense, where she started playing the violin at the age of 5. While completing high school, she studied at MGK Fyn, after which she moved to Aarhus, where she is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus. Marie enjoys to play chamber music as well as orchestra. She is a member of the Danish Youth Ensemble (DUEN) and has taken part in projects with multiple professional orchestras i Denmark.
David Quintana Marginet (piano)
Born in a small village in the Pyrenees, David was introduced to the world of music at a very young age by his grandmother — an introduction that would become entertainment, passion, and vocation. Later on, he also discovered a love for mathematics and decided to combine both disciplines, earning degrees in piano studies and telecommunications engineering in Barcelona. He is currently studying composition in Denmark.
About the composer
Maren Elise Ingeberg is a Norwegian composer from Drammen. She is currently completing a master’s degree in classical composition at The Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, and the Violin Concerto is part of her final master’s project. She also has a bachelor’s degree in composition from The Grieg Academy (University of Bergen). In her recent music, she has combined a romantic style with a more modern sound, adding in a hint of minimalism, but she also has works that focus on pedagogics, concepts and a contemporary sound.
The concert is free, and you can just show up without a ticket. Please come early.
