DJM@BLITZ in Aarhus Festuge: Marce

Marce is a post-punk band based in Aarhus. With a strong conceptual universe behind them and roots reaching back to traditional folk songs, Marce strives to create music that lingers with their listeners. Their love of noise and darkness shines through in their carefully crafted and well-performed catalogue of songs.

This is especially evident on their upcoming EP, Whiteville, which tells the story of a small village in Montana, USA, and its inhabitants. The band describes the EP as follows:

The small town of Whiteville is a place no one pays attention to. Even in the modernized, global age we live in, Whiteville seems disconnected from the rest of the world and feels trapped in times long past. The last school closed years ago, and only a few businesses are able to stay afloat. Almost no one leaves the town, and as a result, its history is rarely told.

But through the five songs on this EP, you will have the opportunity to hear Whiteville’s tragic ballads of loss and murder.
