Concert|Deconstructed
Three Aarhus-based cultural institutions, Godsbanen, The Royal Academy of Music (RAMA), and Århus Sinfonietta, are exploring the very boundaries of what a concert can be.
Together, we are creating a living concert experience that moves through space. A concert that can be felt in the body in a tangible and physical way, taking the audience on a journey, quite literally, through a musical landscape. The experience begins and ends with works by Loïc Destremau, a former student of RAMA.
Current composition students at the Academy are investigating the elements of a concert, turning them inside out, reshaping them, and reimagining the limits of concert form. Working with space, sound, and atmosphere, they have created a musical walk around Godsbanen, where newly composed works are brought to life for the very first time.
The concert is interactive, with the music taken apart and reassembled in new ways.
The concert is free, and you can just show up without a ticket. Please come early.
