RAMA has a vivid international milieu and accepts approximately 25 exchange students every year

Applying process

Applicants for exchange at RAMA must apply through the RAMA online application form (open between 15 January and 01 March).

Deadline

  • Application deadline is 01 March
  • After submission of your application an email will be sent to the international coordinator at your home institution, who must nominate/approve your application. The nomination must be done by 10 March, so be sure to be in contact with your home coordinator about this. If your application is not nominated by 10 March, unfortunately we cannot take it into consideration.
  • We normally open up for applications 15 January.
  • Admissions decisions will be communicated via email to the applicant and home coordinator, expected end of May.

The application

Before starting your online application, please make sure you have the following documents and materials ready. This will help you complete your application smoothly.

  • Photo
    A recent portrait photo for official use.
    Filename must be ‘YOUR_NAME_Photo’
    Example: JANE_DOE_Photo
  • Letter of Motivation
    A short text (Max. 1200 keystrokes, 1/2 page) where you explain who you are, why you want to go on exchange, and how it fits into your studies.
    Filename must be ‘YOUR NAME_MotivationLetter’
    Example: JANE_DOE_MotivationLetter.pdf
  • Audition Recording (Link)
    Working links to video or audio recordings showing your current artistic level:
    Music (Classical/Pop/Jazz)
    Please prepare links to 3 pieces of music performed by yourself (total duration max. 15 minutes).
    Composition and Songwriting
    Please insert links to 3 pieces of music (total duration max. 15 minutes). All compositions / lyrics must be composed and written by you. It is not required that the music is performed by you.
    General Music Education
    Please insert links to 2 pieces of music (max. 10 minutes) and 1 video of yourself in a teaching situation with children and/or adults (5 minutes).
  • Transcript of Records
    An official transcript with an overview of your completed courses and grades.
    Filename must be ‘YOUR NAME_Transcript of Records’
    Example: JANE_DOE_Transcript of Records.pdf

IMPORTANT DATES

  • 15 January – 01 March – Application system is open.
  • 01 March 00.00 hrs. CET – Strict deadline for complete applications including nominations by home institution and upload of all required documents.
  • Mid-March – Applications forwarded to the selection committee.
  • May – Expected reply to submitted applications.

Residence permit for foreign students
It is a condition for admission and continued enrolment in higher education in Denmark that you have – or can be granted – legal residence in Denmark. Educational institutions may receive information from the immigration authorities for use in deciding on admission and the right to enrol in higher education.
You must have a Danish CPR number (personal identification number) if you move to Denmark and stay here for more than 3 months.
