Experience an evening of deep, atmospheric music as double bassist and composer Krzysztof Maciejko presents his final soloist exam at Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, Aalborg.

Dive into a sound world shaped by the deep, melancholic atmospheres of the ECM tradition – where jazz, classical, and Eastern European influences intertwine. The programme features original compositions that explore the double bass’s lyrical and expressive potential, alongside evocative classics from the Polish jazz greats – Tomasz Stańko and Krzysztof Komeda. Expect moments of introspection, rich harmonies, and a journey through contemporary soundscapes.

This concert is a celebration of Krzysztof’s artistic journey: a personal reflection on his heritage, improvisation, and the search for beauty in music’s quieter spaces.
