Soloist Concert: Louise Schrøder, composition
Louise Schrøder studies composition at the soloist programme at RAMA.
Jeg Ser Dig
”Jeg Ser Dig” is a piece that explores how each of us interprets a story in different ways, depending on where we come from and where we are now.
The concert includes a concrete narrative, which is displayed as a text on a large screen as an integral part of the concert. Like a film script and score but without the film. It’s up to the audience to create the film in their imaginary vision.
The piece deals with anxiety and loneliness in various forms. About feeling overwhelmed by these emotions, but also trying to process them and overcome them. The piece challenges the conventional framework typically associated with a classical piano concerto, blending elements from both contemporary and classical music traditions.
The Piano Concerto is originally written for a full orchestra commissioned by Aarhus Chamber Orchestra. But for this concert you will experience the concerto in a more intimate format – a piano quintet with additional electronics and text, as well as some guest.
The Piano Concerto is composed, written, and conceptualized by Louise Schrøder.
