Christian Lindberg is a trombonist, conductor, composer, performer and entrepreneur

The masterclass is open for everybody – free admission.

Christian Lindberg started as a trumpet player but switched to the trombone at the age of 16. Already at the age of 18, he played in the orchestra of the Stockholm Opera. He was educated in London and Los Angeles. At the age of 23, in 1981, he won the Nordic Soloist’s Bienniale competition and has since been one of the world’s leading soloists on his instrument.

Lindberg has recorded over 70 CDs and premiered over 300 works, many written directly for him. Since the 90s, he has also been composing himself, his music is i.a. performed by the Chicago Symphony. Since 2000, he also works as a conductor. Lindberg has taken out a patent for a new development of the trombone’s valve system.

Later this week Lindberg will play concert with Prinsens Musikkorps in Rådhushallen, Aarhus, 16 May.
