Soloist Concert – Trio Bohémo

Unfortunately this concert is already SOLD OUT – no more free tickets to require!

The Czech pianist Jan Vojtek studies in the soloist class at the Academy. At this concert, he presents his piano trio, Trio Bohémo, where he plays together with two compatriots, the violinist Matouš Pěruška and the cellist Kristina Vocetková. The three musicians met as students at the famous Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary.

After a recent concert at the famous Wigmore Hall in London, one reviewer wrote:
Trio Bohémo were on fire. The connection between the musicians was symbiotic. They played, danced, sweated and smiled in total synchronicity. They are the music that this world needs. The gold amongst all the dirt.

At the concert in Aarhus, Trio Bohémo plays works by e.g. Piazzolla and Smetana.

Like his two trio partners, Jan Vojtek is already an experienced musician, he has, among other things, appeared as a soloist with several Eastern European symphony orchestras. The trio has achieved great positions at a number of international chamber music competitions and has played concerts in a large number of European countries. In the near future, they must among other things participate in the prestigious Melbourne International Chamber Music competition in Australia, where only seven ensembles are selected, and they will once again perform in Wigmore Hall in London.

Latest, in March 2023, Trio Bohémo has been awarded first prize, prize for the best interpretation of Joseph Haydn and the audience prize at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, Austria.

“I think we are even more excited for the Haydn special prize then the first prize, since Haydn´s music has been very close to our hearts for a long time, this period is what we learned the most about during our years in the European Chamber Music Academy and will stay a staple concert repertoire for us. “I am very happy for this result also in connection to DJM, as one of my teachers here, Martin Qvist Hansen, has also won this competition with his Trio Ondine back in 2001”, mentions Jan.
