Over the next two weeks, RAMA will be buzzing with creativity. During weeks 43 and 44, regular classes are replaced by a wide range of cross-disciplinary projects where students dive deeply into a single theme under the guidance of experienced external instructors. The projects give students the chance to collaborate across programs and expand their networks.<\/em><\/p>\n All New Festival<\/strong> Other students are focusing on their own personal projects\u2014creative ideas that there\u2019s rarely time to develop in depth during the semester. They are guided by singer and songwriter Katrine Stochholm, known from Under Byen<\/em> and as a solo artist.<\/p>\n Also, around 15 students are taking part in The Large Orchestra, rehearsing brand-new compositions for a large ensemble\u2014some written by the students themselves. The rehearsals are directed by experienced arranger and ensemble leader Kasper Bai.<\/p>\n All these projects culminate in three evening concerts under the shared title All New Festival, taking place Tuesday\u2013Thursday, October 28\u201330, on various stages at Musikhuset Aarhus<\/em>.<\/p>\n Holstebro<\/strong> Hannah Schneider is a singer and composer who has toured extensively across Europe and the U.S., releasing several critically acclaimed solo albums. Nicolei Faber is a theatre director known for his work on major Danish stages, including the stage adaptation of Lars von Trier\u2019s The Kingdom<\/em> at the Royal Danish Theatre. The project takes place at the Nordic Theatre Laboratory<\/em> in Holstebro and concludes with a public presentation on Thursday evening, October 30.<\/p>\n Touring Shows<\/strong> The AM students present \u201cROOTS\u201d, an interactive concert experience that spans multiple musical genres and invites the audience to become active co-creators. \nA group of students are forming brand-new bands built around different themes and their own freshly composed music. The process is led by singer, musician, and producer Nanna Schannong\u2014known from the band Lowly<\/em> and for her work as a producer for several artists.<\/p>\n
\nIn week 44, around 15 students from Aarhus will stay in Holstebro to collaborate with classmates from RAMA\u2019s Music and Co-Creation<\/em> program. Under the direction of Hannah Schneider and Nicolei Faber, they\u2019ll explore the intersection of drama, poetry, and music.<\/p>\n
\nStudents from the General Music Teacher (AM) and Jazz\/Pop, Drum and Dance (RMB) programs are each creating their own concert performances, which they plan, direct, and choreograph themselves. During the project weeks, both shows will go on a short tour to continuation schools, folk high schools, and other venues, before concluding with final performances at Musikhuset Aarhus<\/em>.<\/p>\n
\nDuring week 43, a group of classical students are rehearsing alongside professional musicians from Prinsens Musikkorps, under the direction of conductor Magnus Larsson\u2014a young yet highly experienced artist who has conducted all major Danish and many Nordic orchestras, as well as opera productions from the Baroque era to the present day.\u00a0Working side by side with professional musicians offers students a unique and valuable learning experience. The collaboration culminates in a concert on Friday, October 24, at 3:00 p.m. in the foyer of Musikhuset Aarhus.<\/p>\n
