The accession will be marked with a concert at the Aalborg Guitar Festival on Friday 18 November 2022. See more about the concert <a href=\"https:\/\/musikkons.dk\/en\/events\/tiltraedelseskoncert-petra-polackova-adj-professor-guitar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. In addition to the concert, Pol\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1 also teaches the Academy&#8217;s guitar students on 19 and 20 November.<\/p>\n<p>Petra Pol\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1 has won 17 prizes at national and international guitar competitions, including 10 first prizes. She has performed and given masterclasses at numerous guitar festivals in a large number of European countries as well as in Israel and the USA.<\/p>\n<p>The American music magazine &#8220;Cleveland Classical&#8221; wrote in a review: &#8220;Pol\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1&#8217;s playing was so technically secure and musically perceptive that it was inconceivable that anything she played could be difficult.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pol\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1 has mainly worked with romantic guitar music and with older music. Her 2020 debut album featured music by German lutenist Leopold Weiss, recorded on a 9-string romantic guitar.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor in classical guitar at the Academy Frederik Munk Larsen states:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>It is a great pleasure to be able to welcome the guitarist Petra Pol\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1 as an honorary professor at the Academy. It is a definite scoop for the Academy to be able to associate Petra, she is one of the guitar&#8217;s most present and inspiring musicians.
