Music Leadership \u2013 Jazz\/Pop Choral Conducting<\/h2>\n

Jazz\/Pop Choral Conducting is a track within the Bachelor of Music in Music Leadership, providing a foundation for advanced study and specialisation in jazz\/pop choral conducting.<\/p>\n

The programme focuses on developing students\u2019 professional and artistic skills in jazz\/pop choral conducting. During their Bachelor\u2019s studies, students have the opportunity to broaden their musical competencies through shared classes with the General Music Leadership programme. They also participate in selected joint sessions with students from RAMA\u2019s Master\u2019s programme in Jazz\/Pop Choral Conducting.<\/p>\n

The programme places particular emphasis on developing students\u2019 artistic, vocal, conducting and pedagogical competencies, as well as their ability to work with jazz\/pop choirs and vocal ensembles at different levels. Practical choral conducting is at the heart of the programme, providing a framework for each student\u2019s professional and artistic development.<\/p>\n

Core Music Leadership Discipline<\/h2>\n

Throughout semesters 1\u20136, students specialise in jazz\/pop choral conducting through both group and individual tuition.<\/p>\n

The core discipline is supported by practical placements and a range of supplementary subjects, including sight-reading and score playing, vocal technique and singing, individual instrumental or vocal tuition, functional piano and singing, ear training, arranging, music theory, entrepreneurship, and a wide selection of electives.<\/p>\n

Further Information<\/h2>\n

The final curriculum for the new Music Leadership \u2013 Jazz\/Pop Choral Conducting programme will not be available until spring 2027. However, all essential information is included in the programme description on this page.<\/p>\n
