{"id":3815,"date":"2019-08-16T09:59:20","date_gmt":"2019-08-16T07:59:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/musikkons.dk\/?page_id=3815"},"modified":"2019-08-16T09:59:20","modified_gmt":"2019-08-16T07:59:20","slug":"jocelyn-ho","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/musikkons.dk\/en\/what-else\/major-projects\/new-music-for-strings\/nmfs-aarhus-2016\/about-the-festival\/faculty-bios\/jocelyn-ho\/","title":{"rendered":"Jocelyn Ho"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hailed as an artist possessing \u201ca surprisingly unrelenting physical technique\u201d (The Australian) and \u201cdrawing unbelievably beautiful sonorities from the piano\u201d (2MBS Magazine), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jocelynho.com\/\">Jocelyn Ho<\/a> has distinguished herself as one of Australia\u2019s leading young pianists.<\/p>\n<p>She has won major piano competitions, including the first prize in the 2010 Australian National Piano Award, the Kawai Award, prizes at the Bradshaw and Buono International Piano Competition, and has performed at venues such as Radio France, the Sydney Opera House, the Melbourne Recital Centre, New York Symphony Space, Spectrum NYC, the NSW Parliament House, the Victorian Governor\u2019s House, and the Boston Isabella Gardner Museum.<\/p>\n<p>Included in the Who\u2019s Who of Australian Women for 2012-2015 and a recipient of the 2007 Australia Day Award by the National Council of Women NSW, Jocelyn particularly champions women composers\u2019 works. Her album \u201cLuminous Sounds,\u201d released by Master Performers, received a five-star review in Fine Music Magazine and was featured in her interview in Limelight. She is a founding member of Sydney Piano Trio.<\/p>\n<p>Also a composer-pianist, her compositions have been featured internationally, including in France, Germany, Australia, and the USA.
