Also known as &#8220;singer-centered methodology&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>artistic development processes<\/li>\n<li>musical and social interaction between singers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is accomplished by a combination of teaching on location, by video conference meetings (synchronous distance learning) and by tasks\/discussions in an online classroom (asynchronous distance learning).<\/p>\n<p>The video conference sessions are for leadership dialogues, where the students are given a platform to verbalize issues that come up with their choirs, and then track the process of finding solutions to the issues.<\/p>\n<p>The exercises done in Peder\u2019s classes on location at RAMA Vocal Center are a combination of exercises for vocal ensemble singing skills and exercises for rehearsal leadership; to be adapted by the students to the specific circumstances of working with their choirs.<\/p>\n<h4>The Real Group<\/h4>\n<p style=\"color: black;\">Peder Karlsson studied classical composition, arranging and guitar at The Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Sweden, from 1984, and graduated in 1989 with a post-graduate Diploma in vocal group performance.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the world famous Swedish a cappella group The Real Group between 1984-2010, Peder made over 2000 concerts all over the world and 16 CDs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/therealgroup.se\/\">https:\/\/therealgroup.se\/<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.therealgroupacademy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/therealgroupacademy.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=C_dCvYt4CLg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Real Group and Members of Rajaton \u201cTicket to Ride\u201d<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=C_dCvYt4CLg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Real Group and Members of Rajaton \u201cGota\u201d<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hlpVW75Y1cE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Real Group \u201cA Thousand Things\u201d<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Rx4_v8pVGlU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Real Group \u201cDen Makal\u00f6sa Manicken\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Between 2011-14, Peder was Musical Director of the XXL vocal group \u201cPerpetuum Jazzile\u201d, Slovenia:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/perpetuumjazzile.si\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/perpetuumjazzile.si\/en\/<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=XsVHTNfu3zs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Perpetuum Jazzile \u201cAbba Medley\u201d<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=odtd6EPx7Eg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Perpetuum Jazzile \u201cG\u00f8ta\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since January 2015, Peder teaches choir leadership in rhythmic music at Royal Academy of Music in Aalborg, Denmark, since January 2016 with the title \u201dHonorary Professor\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At RAMA Vocal Center, former Real Group member Peder Karlsson is responsible for teaching three areas of choir leadership: methodology for choir singers&#8217; understanding of core musical areas such as rhythm, intonation and blending.
