But if you dive into the annals of history, you will find that it is not so much a merger as a returning to the institution’s original form. The Academy in Aalborg was founded as a northern department of the Academy in Aarhus three years later, and both were founded by Johan Nilsson and his wife Magda.<\/p>\n

This means that after 80 years of separation the two institutions were reunited in 2010 to become two departments of the same Academy.<\/p>\n
